Mobile notary visit policies
Requesting an appointment does not confirm it. P&P reviews the documents, signer and witness arrangements, time and travel distance, then sends an itemized quote for approval. The visit is confirmed after approval and owner acceptance.
Before the visit
Every signer must appear in person, willing and aware, with acceptable identification and the complete document. Wait to sign until the notary instructs you. Tell P&P if you are unsure what act is requested, the document is already signed, or a signer needs to discuss identification. P&P cannot choose a legal form, prepare a document, or give legal advice.
Witnesses and refusal
Tell P&P if witnesses are required and whether you will bring them. Witness arrangements must be confirmed before the visit. A notarization may be refused if identification, signer presence, willingness, awareness, document completeness, or other legal requirements are not met.
Fees and scheduling
The traditional notarial act fee is itemized separately and is no more than $5 per act. Travel and other service fees are disclosed for approval in advance. Visits starting after 8 PM add the separately disclosed $25 late mobile visit fee. Weekday slots start at 5:30 PM and finish by 10 PM; Saturday slots are 9 AM–5 PM. Call about Sunday or special arrangements. A changed date or time requires a revised quote and approval. Payment is invoiced after the completed visit; a cleaning deposit does not apply.
Records and privacy
The notary maintains a paper journal for performed acts. Do not upload documents, identification photos, ID numbers or card details in booking notes. Booking intake and private visit tracking are kept for scheduling and business records. The Service Agreement & Terms also applies.
